Lazy morning once again and finally packed up and set off for Portland where
we spent some time in the Visitor Centre gathering information and maps. Known as Victoria's oldest European settlement, Portland has a mix of industries that centres around its impressive port.
Next we meandered on to Cape Nelson to see the impressive lighthouse and partake of excellent coffee and a slice of flourless chocolate and apple and prune cake at the little cafe on the cliff edge.
By mid afternoon we were on our way to Cape Bridgewater where we walked to the blowhole (too calm today to do much blowing) and the petrified forest.
Decided to camp behind the yacht club (after a local cafe owner said it was ok) right on a patch of grass beside the beach with the waves breaking right in front of us.
Ended the night with car electrical problems which a very kind local helped us with for along time until it was too dark to see anymore. Hopefully the issue will be fixed tomorrow!
