After a peaceful first night we set off for Warrnambool this morning to have a look around town, as well as the stunning coast line and Tower Hill, an amazing historic volcano that we haven't visited for many years. Next was the cute town of Port Fairy, now preparing for this weekend's famous folk festival, where we ate a late lunch by the marina. By 5.30pm we were hanging out to get to our chosen camp destination, Fitzroy River Reserve in Tyrendarra, so we could enjoy the last rays of afternoon sun with a couple of glasses of something cold! So glad we have not had Melbourne's stinking heat wave. We've had a very pleasant 27 degrees today. Sunset by the river was heavenly. Now we are cosily curled up inside the caravan listening to the crashing waves of the nearby surf beach. Sweet dreams all!
