Tiger at the Tiger Temple
The Tiger Temple is a temple where the monks care for injured animals. The tigers are the main attraction though. They have been handreared (most were left abandoned after their mothers had been killed by illegal poachers and when found the cubs were given to the temple) and so are used to human contact. During the heat of the day the tigers are sleepy and less likely to eat you. Unfortunately when we visited it was raining and so the tigers were a bit more frisky. Still we escaped alive and well!!
