Zoe and Ed's Travels
We have been busy seeing more of New South Wales. After Sydney we visited the Blue mountains and stayed in a lovely guest house at Katoomba. The views were great from the lookouts around town into valleys and over spectacular cliffs. We also visited the Jenolan Caves which were brilliant. We saw 2 caves, each impressive, however the Temple of Baal cave was outstanding, with beautiful quartz formations. Apparently it is in the top ten in the world for beauty and I can believe it.
We then drove the scenic (and very long) route to the Hunter Valley, where we had a wine tasting tour. The weather was beautiful and sunny, and there were only us and one other (British) girl, and we had a very enjoyable time visiting boutique vineyards and doing plenty of sampling and quaffing. Some of the wines were really good, and we had to invest in some. They won't last long though. We also got to taste some olives and bought some chocolate and jam. This morning we went to a cheese factory, and managed to squeeze in 3 more vineyards and a game of petanque before we left for the coast.
