We spent four days in Anaheim, three of which were 'hopping' between Disneyland and California Adventure Park. The rides were great fun.
The homeless and unstable are in stark contrast to the perfect world of Disney. Pa once told me that it was an open air asylum which would explain the woman who told me 'the good lord has given her permission to kill'.
We left Anaheim this morning for Hollywood. When I mentioned our plans in passing to people, by the fifth person telling me to be careful and shouldn't stay in Hollywood, I doubted I had made the right decision.
We've been here for about 12 hours and so far I don't like it. Way too many freaks.
We went to a LA Lakers game at the Staples Centre which Zoe and Jaydene thoroughly enjoyed. Travelling by subway here is not good after dark and to top it off we caught the wrong train on the way back after the game and had to wait at an almost deserted station in a grubby part of town. Then had to change train lines and were accosted by two bg talking of murder and staring us down. Needless to say it was our first and last trip out after dark.
So it is what it is at the moment - we will make the most of it and I am thankful we didn't start our trip here because I would have been put off. Luv to all.
