After a 2 hour plane journey from Bangkok to Changi Airport, Singapore, we had a 10 hour wait for our connection to New Zealand, thankfully the airport had plenty to do whilst we were there.
Voted the worlds best airport we soon found out why, it had a butterfly garden, sports bars, free Internet computers everywhere you looked, massage parlour, swimming pool and showers, free games zone, free entertainment zones and also a huge slide!
I spent most of the time emailing Kacy, sent the odd one to family and caught up with friends on Facebook too. We also managed to watch the Chelsea v Newcastle game followed by the Manchester United v Fulham game so it wasn't a bad 10 hour wait at all.
We then caught our connection to New Zealand which was another 10 hours, I tried to sleep but the air con was uncomfortably cold.
Upon arriving at the airport I was questioned and probed about lots of different things and at one point i didn't think they were going to let me into the country! But after producing all my relevant paperwork I got through, no idea why I was stopped and questioned but thankful I was in New Zealand.
We were picked up by Pip and Kendall, the mother and daughter of Ben's cousins family. They took us back to their beautiful home and went socialised for a short while before retiring to bed.
