This post is coming to you from Bangkok where I am approximatey a quarter of the way through the mammonth Visa run to Laos. I travelled through the night last night and then a 7 hour minibus journey today. I'm a bit stinky already and neck is mega stiff. Managed to get in a Maccy Ds and some shopping on Koh San Road today though and I'm now waiting for the next leg which is on a double decker VIP bus (apparently) from Bangkok up to Laos, we leave in 3 hours and travel all through the night again so I am killing time in an internet cafe.
Things are still going really well on Koh Tao, it feels like I have been here ages now and have settled with a nice bunch of friends. There is always something going on at the dive school and my new friend Louise and I call it Asia Street; there is a funny cast of characters and always a bit of gossip! Louise works behind the bar so I can be found most nights propping up the bar (drinking iced tea) and making useful suggestions about the playlist. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I suggest DJ Kate takes over ;)
We had Thai new year a week or so ago and it was very funny, basically a massive water fight with no grown ups to tell you off. Seriously no-one was off limits and if anyone was spotted with a dry piece of clothing they were in trouble! Lots of fun, but partying takes it's toll on me these days and it took a good few days to recover.
Diving still going well, I am diving mainly with the French guys who are also completing their DMT and we did a wreck dive last week. Visibility was shocking (less than 1 metre) so it was a bit scary because we were very deep (30 metres) but it is all good experience and we didn't stay very long at that depth. Apparently I have missed a Whale Shark in Koh Tao this morning so I am a bit gutted about that! But hey, getting a Visa and being here legally is quite important I suppose.
So I think that's about all for now, hope everyone is well, I believe the snow has finally stopped.

PS - Jayne/Jen - I met someone on the minibus this morning who used to work on Big Brother!!! You can imagine the line of questioning and how pleased she was to bump into a BB super geek ;) Will fill you in....
