Either I look like a potential fraud or a potential illegal immigrant.
The trip started with a credit card check at changi airport check-in counter. Apparently there will be checks on credit card used to pay for the airflight. Well, do you think that's logical to crack down fraud cases?
At arrival immigration counter at Melbourne, I was stopped to be asked a series of questions- where are you going? Why are you here? Why choose tasmania? Is this the first time you are here? Do you know anybody here? When did you start planning this trip? What you doing for your trip? Can you show me evidence for your day trips booking? Etc etc etc...
That was interrogation. Passed.
Proceed to baggage claims. Was Stopped and asked - any food items?
Proceed to check in at domestic terminal. Was Stopped and asked - can you put your bags at the counter and let me scan for explosives?
Has Australian immigration become stricter or it's just travelling alone aroused more suspicions?
不要歧视solo traveller leh!
