After arriving in Auckland, we set out to the bay of islands in the north. We detoured through the Okakari Marine Reserve. Beautiful views of the ocean ad then through a majestic view tops of the neighbouring "hills". This is a video it the ridges we had just driven through. The hissing sound is the deafening sound of the Cicadas in the noonday sun. They are audible even when driving, a little bit haunting to hear the sound follow you so loud.
