Day visit to Bruges. Went to find the cycling museum but when we found it --in a private house--there was no one at home to open up. Cycled on a bike path beside the main Bruges road and reached the main square by the railway station just in time for a coffee. We left the bikes tethered to a tree and set out walking round the historic buildings. The canals were busy with tourists on guided tours being addressed in many different languages. Lunch was a picnic sitting on the canal wall . Several markets were operating which we browsed on the way back to the bikes. Went back to the same cafe for more drinks--unfortunately the waiter tried to rip us off with the bill. I went with Catherine to sort him out and she got her money back.We returned to camp via the scenic route along the canal.
