Hi guys - great journal, what a trip so far .....
By the way, just a note about your footwear - hang on to them. Don't leave them oustside any temples if you go in for a visit. Emily's dad went to a temple in Thailand and when he came out, someone had nicked his shoes!!! Very nice ones from M & S!! Ended up with a cheap pair of the aforementioned flip flops from Patpong market!! Nice!!
Don't get sunburned - remember slip, slap, slop.
Slip on a tee-shirt, slap on a sunhat (or baseball cap in your case) and slop on some suncream..... enjoy!
Love to Sammy Ted from all of us and all take care love Jane xxxxx

Hi again guys, really sorry to hear that your first experience of Thailand was Bangkock, ouch! how and where did it happen? was that one or all of you? Is there a health and safety issue you want me to pursue? You say that you've now got your flip flops out, is that to ease the pain? I've been busy doing nothing working the whole day through, trying to find lots of things not to do and it's beginning to take its toll. For the last 63 hours I 've surfed the Thai websites to see if there are any local tips to pass on..lots of indoor pictures which give no clue about the country. It seems it's a hot place yet the poor locals seem to unable to afford any clothing, so don't leave your trousers on the beach when you swim or they'll have them! The shocker is that I've seen pictures of some women folk who seem to have outdoor plumbing. Never in my life!!....anyway the meter has just run out so I'm not sure I can type this last bit plopery as its dork in ear now..byeeeeeee

Well lads, I expect you all want to know what's going on in Corrie - Tracy has moved in with Charlie, Tyrone dumped Maria and Sanita left Dev! You can sleep easy now! Actually now you are in Thailand you must be on your guard at all times - even when asleep - I don't want to see any Charters portraits on News at Ten. OK, I've done the neurotic mother bit, now I can relax! Have fun and be safe. xxxxx

Hi lads, I feel I need to pass on some advice now you are in Thialand. It is now you should be breaking the seals on your sports and leisure activity packs, if any seal has been tampered with, discard immediately. I want you to look ,talk, drink, exchange jokes, dance (not too close) with the locals! When purchasing alcohol in the local bars think safety - so suggest allow nominated person to take a sip and allow 5 hours to ensure nothing dodgy in there!! After five hours enjoy the evening (what's left!). The only Thai that I know is "Love you long time" - translated into english means "I want your money" - if approached suggest leave well alone!!! Apart from this have a great time!
