World Tour 06
Hello one and all!!
Apologies for the lack of update, so here goes with cramming in 7 days of our adventure for you all to enjoy!!
Our last night in Bangkok we went to a travellers tavern called Gullivers, crammed with local totty and travellers alike we were having an awesome time.
A few of the local ladies took a liking to ali.
One in particular, Alin (commonly reffered to as Alan, but was not actually a lady boy) with which James had a run in with, as this is a family site further details will be revealed upon return!
We got up at the crack of dawn (9am) and grabbed a rather long coach journey to Trat on the east coast of Thailand. From here we got a ferry to our final destination.. Koh Chang.. and my word it is stunning! for those that have seen the pics already i think you will agree!
After an extremely dodgy pick up ride up through the mountains with 16 other people and their luggage, most of it in 1st gear raggin the nuts off it, we arrived at White Sand Beach.
After a group discussion we decided to go luxury for a few days and for 2 pounds more a night we got an awesome hotel room just 20 metres from the beach and a fridge!! it was like christmas had come early.
That night we had dinner at a tree house restaurant, which is literally a hut half way up a tree!! After a few bottles of Chang, our new found beer, (6.4% alc and just 50p a pint!!) we were finding life in Koh Chang not that bad!
Next day we hit the beach and so the tanning commenced! We found a beach bar holding a full moon party on the 12th but was a tad dissapointed, a lot of older couples and no wild behavious apart from streakers during the fire dance show which went down quite well.
The rest of the week pretty much involved the same thing with days spent on the beach and the nights in the bar.
We sadly had to come back to Bangkok for our last night to get the plane tommorow morning, this city is dirty, smelly, noisy and not one of our favourite places!! we went to Shamrocks bar for a few beers and saw some awesome live bands play, met up with Alan and friends before hitting the hay.
Thailand has certainly been an experience, good and bad but is one place you definetly should go if you already havent, just make sure you get out of the city and see the more remote areas!!
Hope all is well at home and your not missing us too much!
Next stop Singapore, we shall update very soon (hostel has free internet)
Until then Stay cool. James, Adam Sam & Ali xxx
