Hi All,
Entries are a bit sposmadic but sometimes I just cannot get near a pc to update. While I have been leaving a few gaps here is the latest. Travelled from Cusco to Puno yesterday and because of a farmers strike the main road was closed halfway and this added 3 hours to our bus trip which was a total of 13 hours including stops. Good thing was that we took the scenic route though mountain areas less often travelled and saw some very different stuff on a very steep and winding road (including snow) The altitude is over 4000M here and like Cusco you can get out of breath easily and a couple in our group needed oxygen bourt to the hotel as they were feeling the affects which often include headaches.
Went to lake Titicaca today and visited a floating village, there are over 40 of them and it is quite a experience but they do now have solar panels for elecrticity! Thats all for now and I have just returned from dinner after feasting on roasted Guinie Pig, a Peruvian delicacy ...yummo!!
Off to La Paz the capitol of Bolivia in the morning.
