Have now had a couple of days in La Digne d'Aval. House is great. Fit for purpose and working well. Weather has been a bit grubby, but spirits high. Photo is from lunch at Domaine Gayda on Saturday. With David and Nuri who drove up from Spain for a couple of nights. Was great to see them. And to have David's Cassoulet for a very long lunch on Sunday. Superb!

Lunch for Susan and me sur terrasse. Others are off exploring - we went to do a bit of foraging for dinner and generally. Managed internet access in Grand Café in the square in Limoux. Works ok and limits potential for doing work. Good to be having relaxing and slow day.

Arrived in Toulouse late yesterday afternoon and checked into apartment - modern two bed in good location. Susan and Biruta due to arrive on train a few hours later (2012) so i was heading for the station to get the lay of the land. 50m down the road there was the sound of live music off to the right. Arrived in Nottingham on morning of Monday 14th. Attending the 8th British Congress of Mathematical Education (BCME) at the East Midlands Conference Centre on the campus of the University of Nottingham. Staying at the good standard hotel adjacent. Had a very pleasant and restful couple of days in London. This is in front of Earl's Court Tube station. Clearly for the benefit of Dr Who fans - a real Tardis. Actually, I like the area to stay in. Cheap basic- but OK - hotels that feel like you are in the suburbs with gardens and quiet. Very convenient on the Picadilly line. Interesting if not world beating food and pubs.
