Hello, We have had a packed few days here in Malaysian Borneo. For four days we went to the Mulu National park (the jungle) which was brilliant, the first brillant thing was that you can only get there via small airplane, which felt very intrepid. The main event for us was climibing Gunung Api to see the Pinnacles, which involved hiring a local guide and taking a longboat ride to the start of a 10km trek through the jungle to camp 5 (old Royal Geographical Soc...

Evening All Well we have started to pick up a small amount of Malaysian Bahasa and the main topic of conversation seems to be the great white sweating beast that has been spotted in kuching? Hello everyone, Ian and I arrived in Singapore last night and we stayed with Ians cousin in a very nice appartement overlooking the city. Following what seamed like the best Gin and Tonic I have ever tasted, Caroline took us out into the city for a night walk and some street food, both of which was really good. Singapore appears to be either really new, or under constrution. It is also super hot!!! I am writing this blog from the Singapore airport while waiting...

Despite the fact that I enjoyed the irony of the fact that one of the few places you could fly in europe for the past few days as been Iceland, the last few days have been annoying. In short, due to the commotion our flight was cancelled and until this morning were not going anywhere until the 29th.
