Days 41-44 - Don't go to surfers paradise...

Day 41

Day 41 begins with finally getting on the bus from Harvey bay to noosa, this isn't a long one, only 2 hours! We arrive in noosa and are picked up by the hostel shuttle bus, the hostel is called dolphins, it's a little bit more chilled out and out of the way than we've been used to and it's a refreshing change! Steph and I check into our dorm, it's nice if not basic again, just one power socket and its on the ceiling!
Anyway we hang around and wait for the others who have been at the beach during the day, they've already been in noosa for a night and have found all the good places to go.
We meet the guys up in their room and meet robbie's friend joe who has been in new zealand before coming over. Steph and I have two people moved into our room when we get back from meeting the guys, two nice girls from Newcastle called Rebecca and Lucy, we invite them out with us for the night.
That night we have another singing and gooning sesh on the beach just down the street from the hostel.

Day 42

Day 43 is a pretty uneventful day, Steph and I are just seeing noosa as we've booked the extra night! We do a spot of shopping and meet up with Pontuz and Adam from our Fraser Island tour on the main beach at noosa! Wish we had more time in noosa because it was really nice!

Day 43

Day 43 begins with a trip down to the beach for a little wander around for a bit to kill a bit of time before the bus in the afternoon, after this we head back to the hostel and try to take advantage of the free wifi at the hostel while we still can! The bus leaves noosa at about 3 with another relatively short bus trip down to Brisbane! Not long on the road and we go past another place where we played on the rugby tour in 07 (matthew flinders school in buderim I think it was) we also pass Australia zoo on the way too and are picking people up to take them to Brisbane and surprise surprise, who's getting on the bus but Tom, Carla and Dicky! It's not too long and we're in Brisbane! It's just a short walk from the bus station to the hostel which is a BASE in the central business district! We check into our room and who is in there but Robbie and Joe!! What a pleasant surprise! Although it turns out they've had more of a misfortune than me! They had bought a car off a bloke in a suburb quite a bit out of Brisbane. On their drive back, 20 mins into the journey, the whole engine blows up... And it will cost the earth to fix!! This blows my karma out of the water!!
Anyway, also in our room is a Canadian guy named Sam and a Korean guy called Jason, we all head down for tea down in the bar downstairs under the hostel, and then head to get ourselves ready for the night ahead! We head down to the same bar with everyone and meet Stef from Fraser Island for several beers, jugs of snake bite and a lot of boogieing!! Great night was had by all!! Late night before an early bus is never a good thing...

Day 44

Day 44 begins with an early bus to surfers paradise for me, Tom, Carla and Dicky. We leave Stef and Steph in Brisbane and set off for surfers! We've heard mixed reviews from various folk down the coast so we're not really sure what to expect from it...
We arrive after a short bus ride and our hostel is only a short walk from the bus stop! We get there and it's like benidorm... Horrible little hotel!! The inside of our room is a little better as it has a tv and relatively comfy beds! We head out to see what the town has to offer and end up on a bit of a sesh... Anything to make this awful place a bit better! We're approached by some weirdos in this place, we seem to attract them, one guy who makes us a balloon dog and claims to be a children's entertainer and is spouting babbling s***e to us like there's no tomorrow! The next one is worse, he has no shoes on and is high on methamphetamine and gives us a note saying he's due at the magistrates court tomorrow morning... We can't wait to leave surfers!! We have a relatively early night ahead of am early bus to Byron bay!!
