BTW you should have done "The Rennie" in front of the Petronas Towers

Haha loved that bit about the pretentious travellers, and the huggers! Why is it pretentious people always explain everything using the word 'amazing'?...it should be struck from the dictionary (or they should be struck for mis-using it).
Im guessing they didn't actually know why any of the sites were 'amazing' its just what the book told them. Those people would seriously piss me off and need to be stopped!

Hi Will!
Again, you definitely made my day with your very funny post. Makes me miss traveling a lot! But yes, the sun is merciless in this part of the world, supposedly, its "summer" so all my friends are going off to the islands. very weird because technically it's summer for most of the year here. So now all the yuppie types are in the islands working on their tan (you see, it's fashionable for us too, at least during the "summer") and come June they'll be back under their umbrellas, slathering on generous amounts of whitening lotion. Its is a strange world indeed.
Have fun in KL! Not much to do there, but they do have good spicy food if you're into that. Oh, and beware of the taxi drivers, a friend said they can be nasty.

Hi Will
Another fabulous lot of photos! You sound as if you are your old self again, which is good news. Sorry, me being a mum again!! Sorry to bring up the 'small world' again, but it is amazing that you should meet people who know someone else. As Aunty Freida would say " Oooh innit weird"!!!
Keep well nd lots of love Mum xx

Hi Will
Glad that you're well on the way to recovery (assume beer is back on the cards now - although Sharpy and I put a stirling effort into trying to make up for your period of sobriety). No, of course your uncle didn't get into any bother with your gran when she found out that you had been unwell and he(!?) hadn't told her..... Your mum and I were pleased it was her 'boys' in bother and not us.
We're really pleased that the trip is back on track and that you're really enjoying it again.
I really look forward to receiving your latest adventures (not a lot can make me laugh on a rainy morning I can tell you....).
Take care and keep 'em coming.
Lol. Anne xx

Democracy given to us by the yanks??? I think Plato might have something to say about that.
Whilst we're on the subject, Churchill said it best, when he said.....
"The strongest argument against democracy is a five minute discussion with the average voter. "
Couldnt have put it better myself!

Hi Will! stop at Hue too, the palace is quite interesting, but skip the mausoleums. Can't wait til you get to Hanoi, I found it nicer and more laid-back than HCM. Don't forget to try the cheap fresh beers at Hoi An!
Mum

Too bad mate, sorry to hear your bad news. I bet it was one of those sneaky nurses. They're always taking something that doesn't belong to them. Blood mostly but the odd wallet or organ to sell on the black market doesn't come as a shock either. You should feel safe in the knowledge that however bad it feels to be sick in a far away land it'll feel a lot worse once you're well but in England. In March. In the rain. Crying. With Dave-Lee Travis.
Take things easy matie. ps what is 5 + 3?
