Hey ho!
Well what an adventure the last few days have been! The full moon party was probably the craziest party I've ever been to and gives you the most surreal feeling partying on the beach to the sunrise. Jen and I got our obliterary bruises (as with every night out we have) and Ryan fell asleep for half the night coz he was so wasted. Laughs all round :-)
We stayed another night to recover- all day in bed- and then booked our ferry to Koh Toa for some Chillaxing.
Lesson 16: BOOK accomodation at Koh Toa in advance after the full moon party
We arrived about two in the afternoon yesterday and our first clue that we would struggle to find somewhere to sleep was that the morning boat was completely fully booked. We first took a taxi to the main beach and searched for a good hour or so for a room. No luck. Tried the next busiest beach. No Luck. Asked about the quieter beaches. No luck. Every tourist information place we walked into they just smiled and said 'all full'. Just as we were debating how bad it would be just to sleep on the beach Jen managed to ring up a random bungalow in the middle of no where- emphasized by our near death experience taxi ride to get there- and we all managed to have a bed. Even though the bungalows were out in the sticks the view from our room right over the sea and our own private bay was incredible and it made the journey worth it! (Plus we didn't really wanna join the 500 people estimated to have slept on the beach last night!)
Today, as it is Ryan's birthday (wahoo!), we got up early and walked an hour from our bungalows to the main beach on our own little trek through the jungle! We've just found a different place to stay- not as nice but with a really good location ready for the tonights antics :-)
Heading back to the truly amazing beach now to soak up some more rays.
Much Love
