We got to the top of Mutianyu from above at around the same time as a peddler selling drinks and snacks arrived from the bottom. She didn't charge us to take a photo with her flag, which was jolly nice of her (it's quite a common practice), and this seemed like a good way to round off the expedition. From left to right: Piero, Glen, me, Frank, Lisa and Danny. Unfortunately, what awaited us below was an utterly depressing tourist-filled nightmare after the isolation and grandeur of what had gone before, so it's nice that this picture can stand as the official end. All in all, a fantastic way to spend a weekend.
