We are planning to go to LUCCA tomorrow. Lucca is a walled city, founded by the Etruscans in 181 BC. Like many places over here it has conquered, been conquered, and then conquered again. Today is the day we get to see the leaning tower of Pisa. It was a long day yesterday and we were all exhausted, so we made the most of a sleep in, except Cheryl who was up rather early to go for a sprint around the block. Well we finally made it. Feels like we have run a marathon. We left PERTH at 10.20pm. 11 hours to Dubai. 4 hours stop over. No flies on me this time. Leaving Monaco was sad, but we had seen more than we expected to. We tried to fit the ablutions on the yacht to take with us, but failed miserably. We were lucky the wind was in the right direction. This blog covers 2 days of sightseeing in Venice. Our trip yesterday took us to Murano. It is a pretty straight forward trip, just take the water taxi to Lido, and then catch the next taxi to Murano. We slept in till quite late, so we did not meet the taxi till 10.30. The trip to Lido then takes about another 30 minutes.
