Watch Live State Of Origin Live Streaming Online Rugby League State of Origin series will be the annual best-of-three series between the Queensland and New South Wales and the 2nd time for the Under-20s rugby league teams is played entirely under 'state of origin' rules.
In 2012, a new rule was put into place that would set out earlier in a player's career which was his state of origin. This was stop stop Queensland from apparently exploiting the selection rule because NSW haven't won the series in 7 years and needed to find some way to halt the mighty state of Queensland. NSW believe Queensland are so powerful because of "under the table" deals being conducted between the QRL and the ARL. So NSW decided to do there own under the table deals to try and stop Queendland's domination. Along with the selection rule they also changed the hosting for this years series. Originally, Queensland were to host two home matches this year, however the ARLC Commission announced in November 2012 a new five-year cycle which would see New South Wales instead host two home matches this year, as well as in 2016, the Maroons to host two home matches in 2014 and 2017 and the remaining match in 2015 to be hosted at a neutral venue.Watch Live State Of Origin Live Streaming Online Rugby League
Mal Meninga will continue on as coach of the Queensland side that will win its eighth consecutive series victory, whilst New South Wales will be "coached" by former Canberra, NSW and Australia captain Laurie Daley. Daley will take over from former Canberra, NSW and Australia teammate Ricky Stuart who, despite constant pleas from the NSWRL to stay, moved on from State of Origin duty following the 2012 series in order to take up the head coaching role at the Parramatta Eels for 2013. Stuart was getting anywhere blaming the referees in the 2012 series to he thought he might have more success at club level. Along side Daley will be his 2 right hand stooges, Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler With Daley who can't see past his nose, Johns will be telling everyone he is an "immortal" and popping pills and Fittler who will be looking to snap photos for his segment on the Footy Show which he still thinks he has.

Since 1908 Australia's two major rugby league-playing states, New South Wales and Queensland, have played representative matches against each other and this has continued into the "state of origin" era which began in the 1980s. The two states' teams are frequently referred to as the Blues and Maroons, reflecting the respective colours of their jerseys. The Blues team is administered by the New South Wales Rugby League and the Maroons by the Queensland Rugby League.Players of the New South Wales team are sometimes referred to as the cockroaches and the Queensland team as the cane toads, due to a marketing campaign used in the 1980s where the respective teams were depicted by caricatures in such a manner. More recently, the NSW representatives are sometimes referred to as 'Cattledog', following the tactics employed by former coach Tommy Raudonikis during the 1997-1998 series.Watch Live State Of Origin Live Streaming Online Rugby League
History:Watch Live State Of Origin Live Streaming Online Rugby League
The first calls for a state of origin selection policy in interstate rugby football came before the schism between the union and league codes eventuated in Australia. In 1900 a journalist known as 'The Cynic' wrote in The Referee that star rugby player and recent immigrant to Queensland, Stephen Spragg, should be able to play for his home state of New South Wales.
Since the beginning of Australian rugby league in 1908, an interstate competition between New South Wales and Queensland has been conducted from time to time. Until 1982 each team drew its players from the clubs based in that state. No consideration was given to the origins of the players themselves.Watch Live State Of Origin Live Streaming Online Rugby League
The first of these interstate games was played at Sydney's Agricultural Ground on 11 July 1908, before Queensland had even commenced its club competition. New South Wales easily accounted for Queensland in a 43-0 victory. The local media were unimpressed.
