Today was a big day - i set foot on land in 4 different countries - Netherlands, Belguim, France & England. Pretty amazing to think that within 10 hours you can see 4 countries. Well, our free day in Amsterdam started with a bike tour. Now for those of you who don't know bikes rule the roads in Amsterdam. If a pedestrian steps out in front of a bike rider, they are likely to be hit. There is one universal road rule in Amsterdam - the bike riders are always in the right. Today we had the choice to do one of two optionals: skydiving or a train ride up the alps. I decided to do the train ride for a few reasons and not because I chickened out of skydiving!!! We took the Jungfroch (train) to the highest point in Europe. We were 12 000 feet high - the skydivers only jumped 9 000. The view at the top was amazing. Today we travelled from France to Switzerland, my favourite place in my whole tour. It was so beautiful. We stayed in a small village at the base of the Swiss Alps. On our drive today (10 hour drive day), we passed a massive lake with little villages all around it - very quaint. The water was crystal clear because it was glacier water.
