my accommodation was close to O,Connell street ,very central.the first morning I was there ready for the first departure of the hop on hop off bus.my first stop was at the kilmainham gaol.I want to beat the crowds for the tour.gloomy ,sad place in its time,our guide was very knowledgeable and we heard a lot about the history of the building ,the people who were incarcerated there etc.after the tour a look around the museum attached.back on the bus for a full circ...

3 days of sight seeing,tasty food and first Guinness in Ireland,2nd and 3rd Guinness, I covered a lot of ground from 8.30 to 10pm each day.still plenty more to go back for.

a delay leaving Crete mean,t I missed a day in Dublin. my flight was suppose to depart at 0100 hours.(crazy time,cheap flight)At 0200 hours we were advised the flight was not able to land and we are to take a bus to arrivals,pick up bag,go thru passport control,get on a bus to go to the other side of the island and check in,passport control etc for a new flight.same aircraft,same crew . say no more.consequently missed my connecting and had to pay a high price ...
