30th July 2007Up at 4.45am, got a shuttle bus to the airport for our 8.05am flight into Christchurch, New Zealand, which was delayed an hour. Took around 2.5/3 hours. NZ is 11 hours ahead of UK time. 26th July 2007Arrived in Sydney this morning around 9.30am ish. Finally in a twin room not a dorm for a change, its nice to have our own space back for a few days. Wandered down to the bus stop in the centre and got on the 'city sightseeing' open top bus tours of Sydney. It cost us $25 instead of $30 with our backpackers cards. 21st July 2007Today not done a lot, got on the Greyhound Bus from Hervey Bay at 9.25am and arrived here in Brisbane at around 2.30/3pm ish. Checked into our new hostel 'Banana Benders' and did our washing, as everything got SO sandy on Fraser. Then went down to 'TinBilly's' and had tea, i had fish and chips, (which was flake and chips, and flake is SHARK!) 18th July 2007 Up for 6am and out the room, was allocated a 4x4 safari truck thing and put in groups. There was 11 of us in total. Me, Jen, the Irish girls, an Irish couple, 3 Army guys and a yank. 17th July 2007 Not done much, checked out of our hostel 'Magnums' and just sat at the beach front with the Irish lot. Had done some washing, but it hadn't dried properly, so had to spread all my clothes over the rocks to dry in the sun!
