Thought would send you a quick update on what I have been up to this last 11 days.
After Christchurch we headed up down towards the Fox Glacier where I took a scenic helicopter ride over the glacier and mount cook.
Then we hit Queenstown which is the mecca of extreme sports - this is where I sky dived! Some of you will have already seen the photographic evidence of this event! If I am honest Andy was the only person who knew before the event as I knew if I told mum she would have had kittens for at least a week. Anyways... so I arrived Monday 10th earlish in the morning to sky dive. I had a great sky dive instructor Sasha who was a bit of an olde schoolar at jumping out of planes as he had been doing it more than my lifetime!
So... all in all it was a great experience that I would do again tomorrow if I had the chance!
After that we said goodbye to a few as they left Queenstown for further journeys and sent them on their way with a final night of drinking!
We then headed towards Lake Ohau for the last night which was amazing! beautiful scenery and quite a few of us headed into the hot tub till late.
The next day we headed back up to Christchurch for the final good byes. This is where my nightmare began for a few hours firstly.. I left my camera on the bus which was now heading up to rotorua and then over dinner i found out i needed a visa to get into aussie. Ne who's both of these got resolved and hopefully my camera is being sent to me when I stay in Brisbane with Fionnuala.
I arrived in Cairns after a long day on friday 14th and have spent the last 3 days there. I have enjoyed the extreme temp change from NZ.
I have now started my Oz experience bus ticket and with a few early teething problems it looks to be a good trip.
My next big stop will be Airlie beach in a few days where I will be sailing around the Whitsundays.
So there is a very quick update probably with many spelling mistakes. But will update you all very soon.
Hope you are all well and look forward to hearing from you all.
Mucho Love :-)
