"Stay Dingo Safe!"
We left Noosa today in brilliant sunshine - typical! It was only a three hour journey to Rainbow Beach , our next stop, and when we got there we were met and taken to Dingos, our hostel. Most, if not all of the people here are going to Fraser Island with us tomorrow, so we were all checked in together and told to come back at 2pm for the introductory meeting. In between we did some washing and Daniela and I walked into town to get a few things. We also went to the lookout point over the beach which looked quite nice.
The meeting itself was really funny. We watched an old video about the island, which included instructions on how to stay 'dingo safe', and we found out there would be really limited toilet and shower facilities. We were put into a group with three Germans (Dorothy, Babette and Mike) and four Irish (James, Andrew, Declan and Sinead) who haven't arrived yet. After, the three of us left Daniela and went to buy her birthday presents, which was quite difficult in a town with about six shops! In the evening we had $5 pasta in the hostel and then had a nice girlie night getting ready for Fraser with Lorna and Sara, the other girls in our room.
