After I had arrived to Flåm it was time to explore the fjords. I went on a boat trip that lasted for about 2 hours. It was very peaceful and quiet with breath taking surroundings. The Sognefjord is listed in UNESCOS world herritage list and it is not difficult to understand why because it really is a stunning place and a must to visit for anyone who are planning to visit scandinavia- or us scandinavians who actually lives to close by. Not only is it interesting because its beautiful, but also because people actually have lived here for centuries and even before the Vikings.
I visited a place called Ottenes which is a little commuity that they have restored and it is possible to visit to se how the people lived. Life must have been difficult and the weather conditions must have been hard. Some places have no road connection so the only way to get there is by boat. Anyhow it was very interesting to se.
Next day I went for a walk for about 2-3 hours and it felt nice to be out in the nature. After I had been on the walk i went to have some lunch and decided that I wanted to do another boat trip, but I decided for a rib tour this time. It was very beautiful and the young girl who was our guide was very friendly and experienced. We saw porpoises which is like small whales that looks like dolphin but insted of a pointy nose they have a flat face. Unfortunently they moved very fast so it was impossible to get a good picture or even a picture at all of them. After I visited the brewery Aegir Brewery and had one of their very good beers.
I then made my way back to the hotel for a good nights sleep and dreaming about my eventful day!
Over and out
