Well today has been a far less eventful day thankfully. Spent a few hours passing Lake Baikal which was absolutely stunning, snow covered mountains rising from a sparkling blue lake. We are assuming it was Lake Baikal as we have no idea any more where we are or in fact what the time is! We were helpfully given a timetable in English when we left Beijing but have been unable to match anything on there to our stops. Also when we have arrived in railway stations their clocks generally all have different times! Add to this the fact that we are crossing 10 time zones and you will understand our confusion. Nick has this morning found a timetable in Russian and is trying to match it to the information we already have! He is confident he now knows where we are but is still unsure what the time is (time will tell if is confidence is justified!) I must say though that it is much more fun not having a clue what is going on as you don't know what is going to happen when, added to this we have Comrade Devito who I think purposely feeds us misinformation so who knows where we will end up and when. C'est la vie!!
Note to self: Really must learn Russian for:
Where are we?
What's the time?
Damn it's f*****g cold!
