I've been in Oz for the past couple of weeks now. It's been lots of fun so far! I went on a diving course in the Great Barrier Reef. It was amazing to see the colourful coral and fish, and I got to see a shark. Then we went on a 2 night sailing trip around the Whitsunday Islands, where we stopped off at Whitehaven beach and swam in the crystal clear sea and also did some snorkelling. We've just got back from Fraser Island, I loved this trip! 11 of us shared a Landrover and drove along the beaches and through the rainforest to reach idyllic spots, like Lake MacKenzie - the lake in the picture, Lake Wabby - a deep green lagoon set among the white sand dunes and the Champagne pools, which were big rock pools that the waves from the sea crashed into making the water fizz as though it was champagne - shame it didn't taste the same! One night there we camped on the beach, it was great being in the open, the sky was filled with stars and there was the sound of the waves breaking in the background. We're doing a similar trip in a couple of days, except we're swapping the 4x4 for canoes and paddling through the Noosa Everglades.
