We headed to the train station for 20:00hours to get ready for our over night train leaving Guilin and heading to Shenzhen to connect to Hong Kong. Woke up nice and early to beautiful Chinese music: construction. Having Chengdu to ourselves for the day we took today as a whatever, whenever and however pace. Chengdu it self is not tourist crazy but what's around it, that being said, we still soaked in more of the city and more of the sights. Ate a very western breakfast for once: French toast, eggs, sausage and fruit. Heading on our way to Leshan and our 2.5 hour car trip! Can't say we enjoy long trip but anything is better then 32 hours on a train. Arrived to the giant Buddha park: lush green vegetation was welcomed, not the steep climb up.
