We got up at 4am and went to breakfast at 4.30 before checking out and catching the FlyBus to the airport at 5am. We arrived at the airport and lined up to check in when a lady from the airport told us we could check in using the automated kiosk even though we had a paper ticket. I showed her our tickets and she insisted we could use the automated booth to check in so we went over to the kiosk waited then tried to check in. It didn't work! I asked for assista...

We got up at 8am and had breakfast at the hotel then checked with reception about my bag, they said it would be there within the hour.We went back to our room and got the day pack ready for a walking tour of Reykjavik. My bag arrived about 20 minutes later and we left to walk around the city. First we walked down to Tjörnin, the city lake. The lake was partially frozen but still had a lot of ducks and geese swimming in it. Even some people feeding the birds down...

After arriving in KL we checked in at transit counter for KLM flight to Amsterdam and connection on to Copenhagen. With only one desk open this took a while. Once checked in we went to the lounge...it was noisy, crowded and crap but somewhere to sit and have a drink. KLM flight on to Amsterdam left on time and we slep for most of the flight as we had an early morning arrival in Europe.

Flight arrived in Amsterdam on time. We spent an hour or so in the lounge then went to depature gate. The flight was delayed slightly and we had to take a bus out to plane on tarmac in the rain. Business class in plane appeared no different to economy except maybe the food but the flight was a little over an hour so it didn't matter too much! We were on our way to Copenhagen and only had one more flight to go.
