Hello everybody!
Finally we have managed to put some more pics on our photo pages - ones from the Outback and ones from Rainbow Beach/ Noosa etc :-)
Currently in Brisbane, where there are far too many shops to tempt our shopaholic natures... eek!
Will update the journal soon when we have more to talk about than our latest purchases (only necessities... obviously...) And OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH... excitement... we had our hair cut today (both of us I mean... we don't have a collective head of hair...) very exciting... now where did I put those damn straighteners??? OH YES... AT FRIGGING HOME... GRRRRRRRRRRRR.
And OOOOOHHHH Excitement #2... we went to Starbucks today. Yeh. Be excited... Haven't been in one since Singapore!
Keep emailing/ adding messages (or we'll send the boys round...)
Lots of love
Karen and Fleur xxx xxx

Yeah Hadge, I'm still bitter about that kitchen... ;-)
I'm glad everyone's impressed by our pink car - just wait til we hit LA and get a cadillac!! xxx
Hadge
Impressed with your bravery in the face of all things reptillian Karen - the car on the other hand, well, what can I say - I wouldn't let you paint the kitchen pink so you got a pink car instead! Looks like you're making lots of friends and having lots of fun - we're in the middle of a heat wave here! I went riding myself yesterday in the new forrest - excellent! It was a belated Birthday present - my horse was called Shannon and she was a bit of a handful but had a good nature with it. Things here are trundling along - soon be September I guess - keep on keepin' on!
Mum
Pictures look great - trust you two to get a pink car! Not too sure about getting that close to the crocs and snakes though - the koala looks nicer! We had great time in Cornwall with David and Kate. Take care - speak to you soon - lots of love to you both Mum

Hey Pete!
Good to hear from you... how's Rio going? Staying safe I hope!
We've moved down from Cairns now to Magnetic Island, and moving further south this afternoon to Airlie Beach (the gateway to the Whitsundays). Right now we're trying to catch up on lots of lost sleep so havent done much here except cuddle koalas and hire a pink mini jeep (has to be seen to be believed... photos on here soon!)
Take care,
Karen xx

Hey Girls,
Looks like your having an awesome time!! We're a bit jealous, but Rio's alright i suppose...
If your still around Cains i'm told that quad biking is fun, there's a company called Raging Thunder which is about half an hour from the city apparently quite good. Looks like you've already been diving and stuff which i'm really jealous about, havn't been here yet, but told it's quality!
Also apparenly Fitzroy island is also worth a visit which you can canoe around and snorkle and stuff, there are turtles!!! Go to the jungle too if you can up there, there's a youth hostle but can't remember the name!!
hmm... I've got to work in the hospital this week, ... downer... I still can't speak enough portuguese anyway sooo pointless even going... nevermind!! It's soo nice on the beach, been playing foot volley with the Vasco da Gama goal keeper, he's better than us, not hard in my case!!!
Anyway, Take Care, hope you both have a great time!!!
