We had noticed on our satnav meanderings that Antwerp had strong connections with the brewing industry, there was even a street called Brouwerie Straat. At the square cafe, I asked the waitress for a beer which captured the essence of the town and a few minutes later she appeared with the legendary "De Konnick".
