Its one of those boutique arty hotels with weird decor and staff with a vague hippyish feel, which I highly recommend. In fact, Arnhem as a whole encapsulates that sense of liberalism and freedom which the Dutch are famed for - I think their early rejection of religious dogma, like Britain's, is linked to this ethos. Although I'm reticent to wholly accept the significance or even existence of national characteristics, I must say that in my limited experience of meeting Dutch people, I've felt a universal kinship with each and everyone of them.
