Driving down some increasingly obscure backroads in Germany's most Eastern reaches, we chanced upon this shrine to serious log piling. Seconds after taking this snap, an Alsatian dog leapt out of nowhere and I was forced to sprint back to the car - clearly it was guarding someone's treasured log stash.
