We headed north, towards Berlin, hugging the border with Poland, but well off the beaten track. I rather liked this old symbol on the Horka fire station building. The man next door seemed keen (we think) that we also take a photo of the new and improved fire station over the way. We tried to explain that the old one was more interesting, but I fear the language barrier got in the way.
