14 July 2014 - Escape To Who Knows Where
Now at a couple of hundred feet, the balloons head south, never to be seen again. Their journey is initiated by me, but their fate is simply subject to the laws of physics. I believe that the marginal gravity situation might lead to a prolonged life as the slow ascent means that the expanding gas within will not burst the balloon as early as it might have done, had the counterweight of the regular air filled balloon not been employed. Therefore, all is mysterious and magnificent and, I might add, this is one component of artistic creation which particularly interests me, but which, I am quite sure, baffles or bores many others in equal measure.
