Extending the religious metaphor, and being a sunday as well, we made a "pilgrimage" to the old haunts of those famous lads, the Kray Twins, in the East End. They were London's most celebrated gangsters and I have to admit they've always been a bit of a fascination of mine. This pub was right by where they were brought up and they once purchased it for their mother (who always said they were lovely lads).
