Whilst visiting the local County Fair, I realised that a lot of the exhibits or displays were in reality an exposition of many things which I personally think of as quintessentially English (or at least they were). Here's a Ford Zodiac, which whilst unashamedly aping American automobile opulence of style, still maintained that sense of how the flashy Englishman might once have made his mark. In fact, a particularly flashy uncle of mine owned one circa 1961. The next few photographs record some of my other examples of English quintessentiality which I observed.
