hey hope you are all well. everything is going good here. we have had a CRAZY few days. i swear it is the air here. it sends everyone mad. well it started off in wanaka where we went MONSTER TRUCK DRIVING!!!!!!! how cool is that?? it was so funny. law even got to drive over a car!!! ( and she hasn't even got her driving licence.) so that was great fun. we than had a go at archery to which was fun and mini golf. then the next day we went to puzzle world which was really cool we got totally lost around a maze for an hour. it was a mazing (one for you dazman)
then onto queenstown. where along the way tris signed up for the thrilology which basically means that A...he's crazy and b....he gets to do three bungy jumps. so the first one was the first ever commercial bungy (AJ hackett) so off he went and jumped off a bridge and got his head dunked in the river 43 meters below...he's nuts i know. but it gets worse. the next one was that night and was called the ledge. so we had to get a cable car up to the top of a mountain (that was scary in itself!) then there was a bungy hanging over the side so it looked like it was 400 meters instead of the 47 meters it was. anyhow so he ran and jumped off that one. and then the next day he does the daddy of them all the nevis. this is the highest in the world!! ( south africa had one about the same height but rumour has it it's closed) to get to the 143 meter jump you have to take a trolley thing out to a pod suspended above a gorge. law was sweating just getting across to the pod! tris turned a bit white but the guys had brought machine head along so as soon as that was blasting out tris was well away leaping off the edge for an 8 second free fall....crazy!!! it was wicked but however much persuasion there was no way law was doing it!!! she couldn't even look over the edge!!
but not to be too much out done, she decided to go paragliding. so had to run and jump off a mountain by queenstown that was 3400 ft above sea level and hope to god that the parachute came with her. but as soon as that scary bit was over she loved it!!! even glided over some deer and hawks. the video of it is soooo funny especially when the instructor lets her steer it, and when they start doing acrobatics in the air namly the corkscrew.....scary.
so phew...what crazyness. we are back to relaxing now. just arrived in dunedin and deciding the rest of the itinary as we don't have long left here. but we will definately try and get some of the photographs up the best ones of the bungy was taken by the company so we'll have to send them in the post, along with the DVD (so stephen you'll have to believe it then!!)
must go, speak to you all soon love tris and laura x x x
