Today I actually had plans to rent a car to head down to Litchfield NP and Adelaide River, the little township where the famous Buffalo from the movie "Crocodile Dundee" is on display ;) Unfortunately even the cheapest rental would have cost me about $200/Day due to the additional costs per km when you get over a 100km. Since I already spent a fortune in OZ I decided to skip it :(Fuer heute hatte ich eigentlich geplant, mir ein Auto zu mieten um zum Litchfield NP...

Just relaxed today and did some reading on Bali trying to figure out my schedule for the two weeks I'm gonna be there. Liess es heute etwas ruhig angehen und las ein wenig ueber Bali um die naechsten zwei Wochen die ich dort sein werde zu planen.

After a semi-comfortable night in the half empty backpackers class we stopped for a couple of unnecessary hours at Katherine to visit the local Gorge. It was late at night when I came back from the bathroom and had a surprise encounter with one of the wild camels which roam the pitch black campground in search for food. Another early morning call: 4:40AM! Today we got to see Kings Canyon. The 6km long Rim Trail was probably the most interesting hike of all three days.
