Jack and Faye's Travels
Ok, so we finally got to KL after a long 16 hours in a mini van and then a coach (super VIP!!) It wasnt as bad as we thought it might be as it was a bit like being in business class on a plane! When we arrived it was 11.20pm. We had booked a hostel a few days before which was directly opposite the bus station so we didnt have far to go. it was one of the dingiest places we stayed but we quite liked it. it was central to everything and had dvds showing in a common room. on our first day we decided that the best thing to do was to explore. we were staying in chinatown which is very central to what we wanted. we looked in the markets which were ridiculusly cheap and sold everything from gucci handbags to football shirts (none of them real but very real looking!) we did a lot of walking that day as we hadnt discovered the monorail just yet. the next day we packed up and headed across town to our 4*hotel to meet jacks mum and dad who were arriving later that day and staying in the same place. The hotel was amazing and after 2nights spent on a mattress that crippled us we were thankfull for the massive bed that was SO comfy. we suprised john and vicki when they found out we were also in their hotel and they had come bearing gifts for us....a bottle of robinsons squash (you have no idea how much that was needed) and mummy mosedale sent magazines (and ellie-thankyou!!) and money!!!! YEY!!! that evening we were treated to an amazing meal at the revolving top of the KL tower. the food was fantastic and jack felt very ill after his 7scoops of ice cream. The next day while john and vicki got up early we had a slight lay in andwent to the petronas towers shopping mall. not much there that we could afford as it was all gucci, channel, prada etc but we had fun pretending we could afford it all (dressed in our combats and dirty t shirts) later we went back to the chinatown market and stocked up. i now have a designer handbag!!! that night we were treated to dinner again but this time at the hard rock cafe!!We had a swim in the olympic sized pool before heading to bed as we're up early the next day to head to the jungle!!
