I completely get why people come here and never want to leave! Had the most fantastic days in Tacoma all with the kind help of Pete, Christine and family. Pete and Christine being neighbours of my Nan and Granddad over 30 years ago we didn't know them at all but they looked after us and showed us some amazing places. Nice enjoyable walk through the massive forest with massive trees, picnic areas and trails everywhere. Trying to avoid any kind of wildlife ( bears and Elk ) Paul runs us through the safety procedures of not getting eaten or attacked, i.e. not to run, let them check me out and if needs be look big and make noise, so first more realistic reaction probably being to leg it or failing that I'm pretty sure Paul would try to use me as a defence tool! After a whole day on the road mainly getting lost we check out Monterey Bay beach, setting up camp here with a pretty good morning view for our rice crispies!

Our harbour home for the night until we get our first knock on the window to do one! Or maybe more along the lines of "sorry sir, you can't park here!" With his authorities costume and hat on, both jumping out of our skins he kicks us out and we are resorted to a Safeway car park, great excuse to buy 9 chocolate muffins to watch our film with! ☺️

Not great photo weather for it, its really overcast with low mist everywhere here at the moment and pretty cold but still really looking forward to our ferry day out to Alcatraz island.
