Today has made me really happy with our choice to bomb it through the south to come to Colorado, second day here we head to the Hanging Lake which is located around 7 miles east from Glenwood Springs. The lake is reached by trailhead so our first ramble for a few weeks and we were both feeling pretty ready to stretch our legs. Finaaaalllly we arrive in colourful Colorado! :) Stunning already pretty excited about the next few weeks here. First stop up in the Colorado mountains the Winter Park Resort, a mini version of Canada's Whistler (obviously nowhere near as developed but it looks good) mainly for Pauls biking fix. Busy making ground, we again see very little of Oklahoma...we did see two Walmart car parks and two lots of doughnuts :) :) Really need to snap out of this daily doughnut routine. Making our way through Oklahoma, lots of baron cross road land joined together with small red neck towns. So, unfortunately we only really viewed Texas through the comfort of Marv :( However, if we are honest, we are really eager to get to Colorado and Utah, more time there is our priority. A new running winner! This is one of my favourite places so far! :) We arrived straight to the French Quarter, being the oldest neighbourhood in New Orleans, there was plenty of history to see and old style architecture to takes snaps of. We loved this place from the off, such a great place to see with so many different influences, the French, Spanish and African American influences are particularly evident here.
