Outback Jack rocks - except he ended up woth the one I couldn't ( and can't) stand) . Anyways , he is not from the oputback but from Melbourne and used to be an underwear model and sip latte's in Chapel Street - still he is cute to look at - anyways , Shez , we are completely out of food , the washing is building up , there is still nothing in the house to drink ...................remember , if you are bored , there is plenty to do in downtown Marrickville.

We have a New York Fries here in Calgary. Get the all-dressed (comes with sour cream, chili, cheese, bacon bits and some other crap). They're the best! We had -45 with the wind chill for 3 days and then it still didnt get to above -30. Your mum would have been in her element - her room at Baily & Goff was always like a freezer. Still, hurrah for the chinooks - nice warm winds have meant it's above freezing now and all the snow has gone. Hurrah!!! Long may it last.

Finally, a break from the cold weather....only -30 today (it was -50 last week....remember how that felt and you'll enjoy Oz even more!!). It is supposed to be above freezing by Saturday and we'll make a quick trip to Saskatchewan for a sleigh ride. We have a tremendous amount of snow this year, so I hope it isn't flooding when you arrive! JJL

Have fun in Brisbane, my brother lives there (early warning!). However my Mum and Dad are there at the moment too so you can make sure that they aren't going to all night parties on the beach and generally doing things that would bring my family name into disrepute. Go surfing (it won't matter if it's raining you'll get wet anyway).

I hate to sound like your mother but are you sure about a boat trip???? We didnt do the petrol thing. I agree with you it is probably a waste of time.

Cyclone did not hit, but weather still grey and rainy, so have decided to go out on boat trip tomorrow anyway.
