Just took a trip to the rehearsal venue and sat up the top with Fritha (Show Caller) and others watching for a bit. The sunset was beautiful. Rehearsals started, then stopped 5 minutes later so they can respect the Call to Prayer! This happens around 5 times a day! I heard they base football matches around Calls to Prayer so half time they can go pray!

Don't worry about me and booze, I have got the paperwprk for my own alcohol license. I believe I am allowed to spend about 10% of my salary per month on alcohol! Before Ramadan people were allowed to spend two months allowance as the bottle shop is not open at all during Ramadan. The alcohol license here isallowed for personal use only.  Quite funny when one of the guys nearly reached his limit before Ramadan with over 200 cases of beer. Hmmm - personal use!! Luckily for some of us he bought extras so we were able to have a beer or to before the end of Ramadan.

Sorry it's been so long! New rules about when and how I can use a computer for personal business at work now!
So - Clare has had an op! She seems fine as Auntie Carole looked after her in hospital! They finally met! Yay! So we wish you even better Clare!
Teddy is off on his adventures. I am struggling with the thought is he is out there on his own especially at nights.
We moved apartments for the second time. Greg and I are finally happily settled in our rather large 5 bedroom house. We had two housemates move in yesterday - Matt & Andy - Pommy Special Effects guys. We also have a pool and it opened yesterday. I swam 50 lengths his morning before work - I wonder how long I can keep that up for! We'll see!
Will write a 'postcard' soon to update you with the adventures in Qatar! I really like it here - especially being able to eat bacon and ham - that is beef bacon and goodness knows what is in the ham! Possibly camel or something!

Back into the swing after my week off. Wish it was still half term! Mummy Bravo, I am so jealous that you are a lady of leisure who lunches. Maybe I can take voluntary redundancy?

Had Claire, Lee, Millie and Alison over for Sunday lunch to meet my Lee. I made sun-dried tomato hummus to start; roast guinea fowl and seasonal vegetables (beetroot, pumpkin and courgette) for main course; and cheesecake with caramelised figs marinated in rum and brown sugar with a cinnamon and honey dip. Millie was particularly keen on the v alcoholic figs. We played girls vs boys Cranium to finish off a lovely afternoon. The girls won, bien sur.

Hope all are doing well. Tracey you have been gone 3 weeks!!! Your car is fine - having a good snooze!!! Ben is nearly walking but probably will be nearly walking for some time!! I will post some pictures in the next few days!

Well it has been very quiet - where is everyone?  It seems only Teddy and I writing messages. Where are you now Teddy?

Well, just for the record I am a lady of  leisure, possibly to become a lady that lunches!  I was made redundant from my job of 6 years, I left yesterday.  So beware kids  I am, now starting on the house! Skip comes next week and all rooms are being cleared!!!!     Hehe he.

Hi all,

I am really enjoying myself at the moment. I am on half term, which is obviously fab. It came around so fast though. It seems that term has only just started and I'm a 1/6th of the way through the academic year already. Last year was my first year teaching and this year is soooooooooo much easier. Went to the Cotswolds for the weekend with Lee. He is officially my boyfriend, so I can stop calling him my 'special friend'. He is a football nut, unfortunately, and is taking me a to a Watford game tonight. What am I thinking?

Mummy Bravo, Teddy was telling me how much he enjoyed staying over at yours the other day. He came over for dinner last week to meet Lee. They got on very well.

I've been on Messenger with Tracey this afternoon. Isn't technology great?! I'm taking King's X down to Sally's this afternoon so will pop in for a herbal tea and a gossip catch up.

Wow, I am having some fun! I went to your old house - did just about manage to find a little of the bed to sleep on - there sure is lots of stuff in there now!

Went on a trip over the weekend, and had some lovely fresh air. It was lovely.

Thought I would keep up with the news. Kaz, nice to hear from you again, but us in England are going into Winter. Although, to be fair we have been having some lovely autumnal days.  Sexy Clare, you had a date with Auntie Carole and you let her down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   She was so looking forward to meeting you - she meets most people when they are down and out!!!!!!!  But its the 31st I understand now.

Tracey, you will never believe who turned up. Teddy!!!! talk about the incredible journey. Slept the night on your old bed and was gone the next morning. Sorry, must have slipped out when i was not looking.
