Sorry for not updating sooner - we have been having too much fun!
Best part of Singapore was not actually in Singapore but formed part of an unprompted trip to Tioman Island in Malaysia. It's a beautiful island about a 5 hour coach journey and a short ferry ride from Singapore. We were staying in a chalet overlooking the sea at the top of the island called Panuba Bay. In comparison to other resorts, ours felt a lot more authentic. The jetty was made from bits of tree and swayed as the ferry moored up along side it. Our hut was on stilts and things fell apart in your hands like shower, sink, door... We had a resident mouse called Fivel (which is part of a longer story). Staying on the island prompted our first experience of snorkeling. There was some beautiful coral teaming with life at a beach around the corner from our chalet called Monkey Bay. Here we saw Nemo complete with Dad, Mum, Stingrays and loads more colourful fish I can't name. Our new friend Simone went snorkeling the day after and saw sharks.
