Red Nail, 1702, Alki Ave SW, Seattle, King, Washington, Washington
Our family often drive around and explore the city whenever we are all together. As long as the car still have enough fuel, we would drive around, turning and going forth aimlessly. We would gasps and be amused by the little things that we see.
On this particular day, the temperature dropped down to 30 degrees farenheit and there was a sudden hailing episode.
As we drove around, we discovered a park/beach in West Seattle and so my parents insisted that we walk around and explore. I'm normally up for this idea but that day was exceptionally cold. I was a little bit hasty and full of excuses so we wouldn't get off the car and wonder off around the park/beach. But, my parents and brother ended up going so I'd be fun-killer-person if I didn't join them. Gosh, was it freezing outside, accompanied by the fresh morning air, actually I should probably say wind! I have to say I enjoyed the scenery but the weather wasn't friendly enough to be walking around outside. My family called me a granny for not being able to withstand the cold wind while my mom, who normally can't handle coldness easily, was totally fine.
Then we drove around, aimlessly of course, again after exploring the park/beach. We ended up in..drum rolls, please...Alki Beach!! Someway, somehow we always ends up at Alki whenever we go on random car drives.
My mom wanted to go outside and walk around, yet again. Hmm~~sounds like it's bearable right? Well, not quite, because the moment we got off the car, walked a couple of feet towards the park...we all mutually decided that it was beyond freezing. The temperature seemed to had dropped down by a couple more degrees. We ran back to the car and shut the door immediately. I bet anything the divers, whom we saw at the parking lot, though that our family was weird. We literally stayed outside for less than 5 minutes before we ran back inside the car. And, to think about it...what were they thinking going diving with the temperature dopping below freezing point?
That's how our day was. Although, it seems like I didn't like it the mini adventure we had~~but I love it!! I have a great family who knows how to enjoy little things that we might have seen many times yet the excitement in discovering a place just as simple as a community park is priceless and can't be exchange for any other thing.
