We found this place in our book Top 10 book and rightly so. This place looks like it would cost a fortune to eat at. The room is decked out in 1920's decor and the waiters are super efficient and then they hand you paper menus and write the orders on your paper tablecloth. Apparently there were heaps of these sorts of "workers canteens" all over Paris but now this is one of the last ones. If you are ever in Paris I'd recommend you give it a go. The meals are cheap, the food tastes great and the service is excellent. Although we have been told that if you go there for dinner you have to get there early as there is normally a line out the door waiting to get in.
