Day 20

On our last morning in Hanoi, we went for a post illegal Vietnamese rave walk, and as is becoming common practice, I found out what I did from everyone else. We ate lunch at a rooftop restaurant, then flew to Vientiane in Laos, having said goodbye to the Vietnam crew.

Dinner in Vientiane was really good, and included crickets. We then went to watch some live music by a fountain accompanied by multiple towers of beer.

Day 21

Me and Nicky had a leisurely start before seeing a couple of sights around Vientiane, then got a 4 hour bus to Vang Vieng. We checked in at some Eco style bungalows and later went for dinner after a wonder around town

Day 22

At 8am everyone piled into a truck and we set off for tubing, via a temple in a cave. Tubing through a cave was awesome and the cave was so big it took a good 45 minutes to cover the whole thing. We drove down the river and kayaked 3km before stopping off at a bar on the river for lunch, where they used banana leaves as plates. A further 5km kayak led us back to the bungalows, and from there we went to swim in the blue lagoon. It was a s***hole, but the water was nice and jumping of the tree was good fun.

We went for dinner and then had a pretty fun night out, which resulted in a free t-shirt.
